COSTA PACIFICA
First seen ouside the Grand Harbour having just left Valletta on 10th September, then photographed alongside at the cruise terminal on her return a week later, on 17th September.

DISNEY MAGIC
At sea after leaving Valletta on 10th September.

JEAN DE LA VALETTE
The new Virtu Ferries catamaran, seen alongside at Valletta on 17th September. She had completed her delivery voyage from Australia only a few days earlier, during which she had outrun Somali pirates at speeds of up to 42 knots.

MARIA DOLORES
The predecessor to the above vessel, photographed at sea outside the Grand Harbour.

MSC SPLENDIDA
Always an impressive sight, this large cruise ship is seen alongside in the Grand harbour on 15th September, and later the same day as she passes the breakwater and heads out to sea.

OCEAN VILLAGE
Arriving and departing from Valletta on 11th September.

This Gozo ferry is seen as she approaches and enters Marsamxett Harbour on 15th September.

WESTERN PRIDE
Research vessel alongside in the Grand Harbour on 17th September.

~ ~ ~ PART 3: DRY CARGO VESSELS AT VALLETTA ~ ~ ~

ALESSANDRA I
Container ship alongside at Malta Drydocks on 17th September.

ANJA
General cargo vessel, first spotted on a mooring on the far side of the Grand Harbour on 15th September. Seen again two days later, minutes after moving across the water with the assistance of a tug and pilot as seen in the penultimate photograph.

AYNUR KRK
Alongside at Valletta on 13th September, and sailing past the breakwater later the same day.

BLUARROW
Alongside in the Grand Harbour on 17th September.

CHALLENGER
A regular coaster at Valletta, seen alongside on 17th September.

GLOBAL HEKATE
Seen off the Maltese coast near Valletta on 13th September.

HOEGH TROOPER
Vehicles carrier alongside in the Grand Harbour on 15th September.

SEA AMAZON
Vehicles carrier alongside in the Grand Harbour on 17th and 15th of September respectively.

SETUBAL EXPRESS
RoRo cargo vessel spotted offshore on 12th September and then photographed as she manoeuvred and berthed in the Grand Harbour on the following day.

TA'MATTEW II
Fishing support vessel seen passing through the Grand Harbour on 13th September.

~ ~ ~ PART 4: TANKERS AT VALLETTA ~ ~ ~

BALLUTA BAY and SANTA TEREZA
These two bunkering tankers were seen alongside in Valletta on 17th september.

CALYPSO
This recently completed tanker was first photographed just before leaving drydock on 13th September, and later that day seen just outside the breakwater. The last three images show her back in drydock on 17th September.

OILSTONE
This bunker barge passed under the stern of the manoeuvring SETUBAL EXPRESS and then passed green-to-green with TA'MATTEW II, watched from the Upper Baracca Gardens.
